Mai avrei pensato di dover commentare una moto enduro realizzata da Harley Davidson ma come sappiamo mai dire mai, e infatti eccoci qua ad osservare questa nuova nata in casa Harley. Per poter analizzare e giudicare questo nuovo modello bisogna uscire dai soliti schemi e modi di vedere la moto che ha un classico harleista, dimentichiamoci per un attimo le cromature, le linee classiche e selle basse.
La Pan America è sicuramente una moto imponente che si deve fare strada in un settore quello delle enduro che è ormai popolato da mostri sacri, infatti per la stazza e il prezzo questa nuova nata andrà a scontrarsi direttamente con la BMW GS o la KTM. Sicuramente a prima vista è una moto che ha una linea originale tutta sua che per questo giustamente si distingue dalle altre soprattutto il suo cupolino a più livelli col doppio fare rettangolare in verticale che ricordavagamente il cupolone Road Glide in versione off road, così come il serbatoio richiama quello delle softail.
Il motore è il novo propulsore Revolution Max da 1250 che dovrebbe avere una potenza sui 145 cv e coppia di 12,5 kgm ovviamente raffreddato a liquido. Freni da 320 mm Brembo con ABS, assistenza alla guida e alle sospensioni e pneumatici tassellati Michelin anakee. Unico punto da migliorare direi lo scarico che cambierei. Non si sa molto altro della Pan America che è arrivata in questi giorni nei concessionari Harley e verrà presentata ufficialmente a fine febbraio. Sicuramente sarà dura farsi strada nel segmento Enduro ma posso dire che ha tutte le caratteristiche per trovare un suo spazio.
